Yes, this is my official notice of intent to begin blogging again. It's good for me to keep in practice of thinking things critically. It's also good for anyone who may read this to get updates on feminist issues and feminist perspectives on current events. So it's good for everyone. Good.
Now that I have resigned my position with Baltimore Choice Avengers and taken more of a backseat in Skatepark of Baltimore, I should have time to dedicate to commenting on social issues. Also, now that I have entered the 21st century and bought a smart phone, I am getting active in the twitter universe again.
My topics will change somewhat. I've moved to New York City, so I am going to start shifting to following my new home's state and local news, though I'll keep track of the interesting things going on back home- like the fact that Maryland is on the cusp of legalizing gay marriage but facing major restrictions on abortion. I would also like to start writing some personal posts about my involvement in activism in this city. In Baltimore, I just grew into activism because of my involvements and passion. Here in New York, I have to actively find ways to get involved. Also, since there are so many people here and so many things going on, I think I will be able to/have to pick and choose what fits me best. I'm looking forward to it.
